The shift in the economy was very apparent this summer at Expo 2009.

Members as well as visitors to Expo 2009 were forced to resort to a few new strategies when it came acquiring the tractors and accessories they desired. Some of our members were even willing to trade their husbands, wives, and especially brothers or sisters for tractors. Various t-shirt billboards, like the ones worn by Colleen and Ron Twedt of  Huxley, Iowa, could be seen all over the expo grounds...haven't heard if anyone had any takers on their offers.

Mary Herbers recaps Expo 2009...

Members came from Oklahoma, Nebraska, North Dakota, Tennessee, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Texas, South Dakota, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Virginia, and Missouri. A check of the door prize tickets revealed that spectators came from those states and Pennsylvania and New York as well!

Kudos to the weather committee. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend.

"I grew up on a farm and and I always loved the big tractors. But then I moved to the city..."
